Dreamy Christmas Gift Wrapping for Dollars

Dec 18, 2017 | Posted by in Lifestyle, Uncategorized | 0

Ok, I know this is a little last minute but let’s be real here, many of you probably haven’t finished shopping for gifts, let alone finished wrapping them. Besides, I had to share this awesome find with you no matter how close we are to Christmas. And I was in the mood for a fun blog post anyway! I don’t know about you but “brown paper packages tied up with strings…are a few of my favorite things”. Seriously, I think the wrapping can be just as dreamy as the gift itself. But most years, especially at Christmas, buying fancy ribbons, strings, paper, and gift tags is likely not in the budget. In years past I’ve hit up the dollar store for some wrapping paper becauseRead more …

Plus I’m sharing some of our family’s favorite meals! First of all let me just say meal planning is NOT rocket science. A Budget. OK wait, before you click that ‘x’ in the upper right corner, let’s be honest…this isn’t a fun topic at all. In fact, I’d argue that a lot of us try to avoid budgeting completely in our life and especially in our marriages because 1) it causes conflict, 2) we have to defer gratification and 3) the real kicker… our pride. I don’t want to lie to you and tell you this blog post is going to solve all 3 of those things for you. However, my husband, Ben, and I agree that budgeting is a total game changer. What was scarier than not sleeping were the thoughts and feelings of anxiousness that would run through my head while lying there. And in the middle of all those thoughts I felt totally alone. No one is up in the middle of the night in my home, not even the dog. And even though my husband laid asleep right next to me, I physically felt so isolated and so fearful of having to lay there with all these thoughts, all by myself. After a few nights of horrible sleep I started using sleep aids, supplements, andRead more …

My sister called me a few weeks ago in a panic. She says, “Ouick! I have people coming to the house this afternoon, what 5 things do I make a priority to clean first?!” She had just gotten a call from a dog rescue foundation and they wanted to know if they could stop by in just a few hours to do the home check for the dog they were adopting. Although it took me a few seconds, I thought of a few ideas for her and have since come up with a few more to share with you guys. I am no expert, but I do know that I love cleaning, so hopefully this post helps you simplify things for those unexpected occasions. [BeforeRead more …
